Set within the woods and undulating terrain, Creek House draws on the privacy of the surrounding landscape to provide a peaceful retreat. One side of the house is nestled into the hillside while the opposite facade opens up to capture the views.
The space
Brand new home. All the modern details. Custom all-wood kitchen cabinetry is sustainably made, and all appliances are high-end stainless steel. Both the kitchen island and back countertop are cut from one slab of marble; the backsplash is a single piece of white glass. From the living and dining rooms, tall sliding glass doors open up to an expansive deck and to the woods beyond; essentially the outdoors becomes an extension of the living space. A bedroom, and a full bath, complete the main level. The master and guest suites on the second level are spacious and calming, and both offer treehouse-like views. Closets and storage are plenty, and bathrooms are outfitted with marble, lava stone and Italian Porcelanosa tile, as well as custom vanities designed by the architect. Designed by a world famous architect and master builder. The house is heated with radiant floors and includes air conditioning in all bedrooms and the living area.
The neighborhood
Easy to bus from NYC. Closest stop is Rosendale. 35-40 minutes from Rhinecliff. Lots of great local farm shops like High Falls Food Co Op just 10-15 minutes riding ranch just 8-10 minutes from house. Minnewaska state park for hiking and climbing and swimming is also a short 10 minute drive.
