Janera Soerel, MBA, WELL Faculty, is the founder of The Healthy Space, a premium health-optimized real estate advisory to elevate how builders and investors integrate health and wellbeing into their assets.

Drawing on her expertise as a WELL Faculty member with the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), Janera translates complex wellness strategies into actionable solutions that generate real value.

With a background in market development for the real estate sector at IWBI and an MBA from Columbia Business School, Janera blends strategic rigor with market insights. She has built a reputation for synthesizing technical, financial, and wellness concepts into clear project specific advice. Her work bridges the gap between industry standards and feasibility, ensuring that health-optimized real estate is both aspirational and obtainable.

Janera’s career spans international markets, from The Hamptons, New York City, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Mexico City, to Milan, London and Amsterdam, giving her a global perspective on how spaces can shape human health and experience locally. She is fluent in Dutch, Spanish, Italian, and English which allows her to connect across cultures and communities.

Her mission is to build a scalable, tech-enabled platform that positions The Healthy Space as the authority in health-optimized residential real estate assets.

Beyond her professional work, Janera contributes to industry thought leadership as a committee member of ULI New York’s Climate and Sustainability Council.
